About the Author
Lorraine C. Smith holds a doctorate in Curriculum and Teaching from Teachers College, Columbia University. She has taught ESL for 25 years on all levels, particularly the college level. She has co-authored six ESL reading skills texts and has presented at local, national, and international conferences. Professor Smith teaches in the M.A. TESOL/BE Program at Adelphi University in Garden City, New York.

I bought this book to replace the one I bought from the school, the price in there was outrageous, I'm a student and can't afford to pay 41dollar plus taxes.I did some researches online and found it here in amazon. few seller have the book new and some used but the price differ. I finaly made my desicion to get the one that said good like new .The shipping could of been faster. let me tell you once I received the book I was surprise how clean is the book it is exactly like new. By getting this book I saved a lot of money for exact same book. Great purchase
